Eosphorite on Rose Quartz

A superb, old-time combination piece composed of a spray of golden-brown Eosphorite crystals perched perfectly on a cluster of Rose Quartz crystals from 1960s-70s finds at the renowned Lavra da Ilha pegmatite located on a island in the Jequitinhonha River in Minas Gerais State. The well-centered Eosphorite rosette measures 1.6 cm across and is made up of dozens of prismatic crystals in a sublime arrangement. The Rose Quartz on this piece is quite remarkable consisting of a dozen, very nice, 1.7 to 2.2 cm, light pastel pink crystals that average 8 mm in width and have great composition. This is a fine and rare combination piece from these older finds here, and not sure if you knew this, but the pegmatite could only be mined when water levels were low since the island at its best exposure was only a few feet above water level!
