Eosphorite on 'alligator Quartz'

Item Description

Sparkling, gemmy, light coffee-colored eosphorite crystals (a hydrated manganese, aluminum phosphate) richly and preferentially coat a large glassy, gemmy, "alligator" quartz crystal. A nice contrast in color and texture! Contacting is noted on bottom and ends of the quartz, as is modest bruising on the display face. Certainly a modest detraction to this large piece. This scintillating piece has fine form, with the striking multiple "alligator scales" on the quartz crystal. Excellent material from a new and recent find
