Item Description

A very hard to find Enstatite specimen from the Odegarden Apatite mines. This is honestly the very first specimen of this material that we've ever had to offer. It features fairly sharp and mostly well-formed prismatic crystals of dark greenish-brown Enstatite measuring up to 2.4 cm long on mica matrix. Now the piece is not 100% pristine as there are some contacts and separation marks where they crystals were removed from the pocket wall, but they are well-isolated, and to have an actual GROUP of crystals, and not just a loose single is significant. If you collect hard to find European minerals, this is a great one to fill a spot in your collection. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#907). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
