Item Description
The mines in this area produce what are considered the finest peridots in the world (MINDAT). Enstatite is RARE from here and as a species typically is not found in gem quality crystals, with the exception of micros. To find TWO doubly terminated floater crystals measuring to 3.0 cm WITH color and gemminess is very rare in my experience with this mineral. These are WATER-CLEAR beautiful yellow-green lightly etched gem crystals have a broad "sword"-shaped form and an eye-catching overall appearance. These pieces came out around 2010, and are the best of the size and quality that I've had to offer in some time. If you collect gem crystals, this is a species that is NOT often found in gem quality crystals, and considering these are not tiny crystals, they are certainly worth picking up for your collection. It seems that getting good quality, (affordable) gem crystals out of Burma are becoming more and more difficult, so don't miss out on this super 2-piece deal. 9.37 grams total mass.
