Item Description
Enstatite is VERY RARE from this obscure Delaware County locale, just west of Philidelphia. This is a solid mass of radiating sprays of slightly translucent grayish-greenish-brown lathes with waxy luster. Enstatite is a member of the Orthopyroxene Subgroup of the Pyroxene Group. Rose Tree could be the same locality as Blue Hill cited in MINDAT. From an East Coast Collection and comes with a Hugh Ford label from 1946-57. Not pretty to look at, but is certainly a rich and highly representative example of the rare species and locale. A MUST for the species or locality collector.
