Enstatite (great quality )

Enstatite is a fairly rare collector's gem, and is only found in a few world localities in transparent examples. Despite the simple chemistry of the material, we don't see much in the way of gem quality Enstatite on the market, and typically gems are on the smaller side. We picked up this stone from a dealer's stock, and it's one of the better examples of Enstatite that we've had to offer in the auctions in some time. The rough from which these gems were cut was mined over 30 years ago, and to the best of our knowledge, is no longer being found. This stone has an "Oval Brilliant" cut with VVS clarity and a rich golden-brown color. If you're a rare stone collector, don't miss out on this one, as Enstatites like this are almost impossible to find on the market, especially in this size.
