Englishite (very rare)

A beautiful rare specimen from this revered phosphate locality, featuring white micro "balls" of English associated with light yellow aggregates of Whiteite-(CaMnMg) and brown resinous Roscherite on Quartz matrix. I think an argument can be made that the finest examples of Englishite are those from the Tip Top Mine. Englishite was named in honor of George English (1864-1944) who was one of the premier mineral dealers and collectors of his day. According to mindat.org, English's "collection of phosphate nodules led to the discovery of several minerals including this one - {Englishite}". The piece is beautiful under magnification, and you rarely see any specimens of Englishite on the market anymore, so if you're a fan of rare minerals or phosphates, don't miss out on this one.
