Item Description

Enargite is an uncommon copper arsenic sulfosalt species, and certainly a good number of the finest crystals ever found came out of Butte, Montana. The famed Leonard Mine the premier mine in the district for the species. This piece is filled with excellent, razor-sharp, highly lustrous, dark metallic grey-black colored tabular striated crystals of Enargite measuring up to 8 mm, which are associated with golden metallic Pyrite. There are some broken crystals, so the piece is not 100% pristine, but there are many fine undamaged Enargites on the piece. These specimens date back many decades, and very little material is available on the market today, so if you're a fan of metallic minerals, or classic localities, this is a good representative piece for any fan of the material.
