Item Description

Impressive sprays of moderately lustrous metallic-gray enargite blades accented with a field of sparkly pyrites form a dramatic and aesthetic specimen from an unknown Peru locality. The Art Soregaroli label says the San Cristobal Mine in Junin Department, but MINDAT does not list the species for this silver mine (but since Art was editor of the Peru book and had MANY weird locality things from Peru, I am loathe to change his label). The fans are in great shape, with some broken crystals noted in the cores. Irregardless, this is a very fine example of the species from Peru.
