Butte has arguably produced the finest enargite specimens in the world and this is an superb example. This piece is solid crystallized enargite on massive enargite matrix. The sharp, splendent, striated, jet-black crystals reach 1.3 cm. These are bladed, textbook, fine crystals with flattened terminations for the locale. Essentially pristine. This classy, very fine and rich old-timer is from the Hal Miller and Robert Whitmore Collections. Valued at $750.
