Enargite & Pyrite (Soregaroli Coll.)

Item Description

Sharp, prismatic, matte-luster, enargite crystals are richly and aesthetically scattered on three of the four sides of the mounded matrix coated with starkly contrasting, scintillating, brassy, pyrite microcrystals. I particuarly like the way the larger crystals, to 2.0 cm, are set near the crest of the piece. The frontal display veiw is pristine and the couple of spots of bruised enargites on the back are a very minimal detraction to this showy and excellent 360-degree combination specimen. The famous mines of Peru have produced some of the world's finest enargite specimen and this is a very fine and aesthetic small cabinet combination from the Art Soregaroli Collection.
