Butte has arguably produced the finest enargite specimens in the world and this is an superb combination plate. Sharp, splendent, striated, jet-black crystals to 2.0 cm (doubly terminated and prow-shaped) are beautifully complimented by the striated, mirror-bright, brass-yellow, pyrite pyritohedrons. The striking stellate spray of enargite crystals in the center of the piece is just fabulous. Essentially pristine. This classy, very fine combination old-timer is from the John Ydren Collection and has multiple display views. Valued at $750.
