Enargite on Quartz (rare locality piece) (ex Kay Robertson Collection)

I can honestly say that I have only had a few pieces of Enargite from Tsumeb to offer prior to this piece. It's obviously not very common from this prolific locality, and any Tsumeb completionist should JUMP on the change to add a piece like this to their Tsumeb suite. As Enargites go, this is a fairly typical piece of the material showing massive to crystalline form with a greyish black color with minor oxidation sitting on Quartz matrix. A very hard to find piece of this uncommon copper sulfide from this beloved locality. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#11828) with a label from BURMINCO of Monrovia, California. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
