Butte has arguably produced the finest enargites specimens in the world and this is an excellent example. This piece is solid crystallilzed enargite, but the enargite crystals in the well-placed vug are the obvious focus of this showy piece. The highly lustrous, well-striated, 3.0 x 1.3 cm, enargite blade dominates this piece and bridges the chasm of the vug. This classy, old-timer has a fine pedigree, having been the collection of noted author and collector, John Sinkankas.
