Emmonsite (rare) (es Josef Vajdak)

Item Description

Emmonsite is a rare hydrated iron tellurite, and is rarely seen from the San Miguel Mine in Sonora, Mexico. This piece features rich green radiating groups of Emmonsite (which are best seen under high magnification) sitting on oxidized matrix. We used a Canon MP-E 65 mm macro lens to photograph the piece as the crystals are tiny, and best seen under magfniciation. This is one of only a very few pieces of this species that we've had to offer from this locality, and comes with a classic label from Josef Vajdak / Pequa Rare Minerals, which immediately increases the value.
