Item Description
Emerald specimens from this less well-known district are uncommon and are seldom on the market. Glassy, translucent, green, prism sections are richly scattered on the biotite schist matrix along with a contrasting clay-like mineral. The longest crystal, in four sections, is 3.0 cm long. Not the quality of Colombian emeralds, but certainly a showy, rich and fine rarity. Ex Bob Trimingham Collection.
