Emerald & Scheelite (RARE COMBINATION)

Gorgeous, lustrous, translucent, elongated hexagonal emerald prisms, to 2.3 cm, dramatically fill a 4.5 x 4.3 cm vug jackstraw-style on this RARE and outstanding combination piece from this well-known Chinese emerald producing locale. Hard to see to see in the interior of the vug, but the large crystal is CURVED! An adorable 1.2 cm cluster of VERY RARE sharp pseudo-hexagonal starkly contrasting pastel-yellow scheelite crystals is aesthetically set in the vug. A sharp 7 mm crystal crowns this cute cluster. Another view reveals the striking vug is very cavernous and the end view shows the remarkable thick massive emerald vein of the vug. The scheelites are a superb accessory, as are scattered rare sharp K feldspar crystals on the gneiss matrix plate. Classic white scheelite fluoresence, which shows many more scheelite fragments on the piece. An outstanding rare and sculptural emerald and scheelite combination - one of only three (and the last available specimen of the lot) that Rob obtained in China back in the end of 2019, seemingly from the same erratic pocket.
