Item Description
Beryl is one of those gems that comes in virtually every color, featuring some of the most vivid and rich pinks, yellow, blues and GREENS of any gems out there. Emeralds are the most desirable and valuable variety of Beryl, and for good reason, due to their beautiful color and scarcity on the market. This gem has a beautiful green (with a slight blue overtone) color, with amazingly good clarity and a traditional "Rectangle" cut. Keep in mind that Emerald is classified as a Type-3 gemstone which means that inclusions are almost always present in the stones, so when you find a gem like this with such good clarity, it's a big deal. PLEASE NOTE: This is not a Colombian Emerald, but rather a rarely seen gem from the Swat District of Pakistan! Gems from this area are rare and expensive on the market. We actually purchased this stone direct from the source, which is why we're able to offer it for a low starting bid of $100. These stones are not common from any locality, let alone Pakistan! Retail value is $430.
