Item Description

Carnaiba may contain the most extensive emerald deposit in the world (MINDAT). A striking cluster of opposing crystals is aesthetically set in quartz matrix. The crystals, to 4.6 cm, have rich green color saturation, fine luster and are moderately translucent. The terminations of the three larger crystals are contacted, but there is no damage, per se. The bit of bruising to a smaller cystals is certainly only a modest detraction. Not as gemmy as Colombian emeralds, this remains a very fine and rich example of the species and locale.
