Item Description
An UNUSUAL, large emerald crystal on matrix from the famous Muzo Mine of Colombia. This gemmy and lustrous, unusually green-blue crystal is complete all-around and is pristine. It is 2.7 x 2.0 cm, has textbook, hexagonal form and is very aesthetically set in shale matrix. The lustrous, little pyrite crsytal is a very nice accent. The shale inclusions must be the coloring agent in this unique crystal. The crystal looks like a "Dark Tower" on a craggy headland. This is a VERY LARGE, highly representative emerald in any case, but also uncommon for the slight color shade I seem to see mixed in. Valued $2000
