Item Description
A classic and excellent, 2.1 cm, emerald specimen from the famous emerald mines of the Ural Mountains of Russia is aesthetically set in the muscovite schist matrix. The pretty light green crystal is very gemmy in the upper two-thirds and translucent in the lower portion. The contacted, undamaged termination has a bit of embedded muscovite. Showy, highly representative and excellent old-time emerald from this well-known locale. It probably dates to the Emperial Russia era.
