Item Description

Madagascar emeralds are very uncommon and are rarely on the market. Lustrous, opaque, light green crystals strikingly and richly cover the mounded feldspar matrix. The large terminated, elongated crystal in the center is 4.2 cm long and the fat, broken crystal above it is 1.9 cm across. Typically non-gem, this is a very rich, highly representative and rare emerald example from Madagascar. Ex Giancarlo Fioravanti Collection and obtained at the Bologna Show in 1986.
