Item Description
A classic, highly lustrous, very gemmy to translucent, full-blown thumbnail sized emerald crystal from the great emerald locality of Muzo. There is cutter material in the striking, complex, multi-level terminations. The ;luster and glassiness to the surface is extremely high and makes it impactful. It just plain "sparkles." Definitely of a fine quality for a mineral collection and a fine thumbnail because it is not just the normal "boring single" style as are so many. The multiple termination and high glassy luster give it more character than you usually see in a thumbnail sized emerald crystal. The crystal is complete all around and essentially pristine. Contacting, with no damage, per se, is noted on the back and is out of sight. A few very tiny pyrite crystals are a nifty accent. In person, this is slightly more intense green than the photos suggest (i.e. it is better in person). Weighs 27.89 carats or 5.5 grams. Valued at $1000 or more.
