Item Description
Habach Valley emerald is a classic, highly desirable European and Autrian species. Two crystals are nicely set in the sculptural miniature schist matrix. The pretty green, gemmy/translucent, textbook hexagonal, terminated crystal in the front is 1.1 cm. The larger, lighter green crystal on the back is 1.3 cm. Ex Kay Robertson Collection # 3865 and acquired in February, 1965. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record). Classic, highly representative Austrian emeralds.
