Item Description

Emerald is one of the most desirable gems in the world, and good crystals are hard to find from any locality. This set features a crytal from Muzo, Colombia and a faceted stone from Bahia, Brazil. The crystal is a fine, sharp, lustrous, translucent, hexagonal prism with a medium green color. The crystal is contacted on the back, but it's in good shape on the front side. The gem is a typical "Emerald" cut stone with a vibrant, rich green hue and only very slight inclusions. The clarity of the stone is great becuase Emerald is classified as a Type-III gemstone, which means that inclusions are almost always present, so when you find a stone like this with only minimal inclusions, it's significant. Keep in mind that the inclusions are much more pronounced on your screen than they are in person. A good quality rough and cut of this well known variety of Beryl. Valued at $700.
