Emerald

Item Description

This is a very colorful and showy group of intergrown, rich chrome green Emerald crystals intermixed with Quartz and schist matrix. The two main Emerald crystals at the top of the specimen (the largest of which measures 3.0 cm long) are nearly pristine, while others are less than desirable from the standpoint of contacts and incompleteness. The color of the crystals is very saturated along with having sharp and fairly lustrous faces. You don't see a lot of good matrix Emeralds from Bahia, and some of the best pieces can rival the top specimens from Colombia, and even though this piece has its flaws, you can't deny the fact that it is loaded with crystals of a very desirable green hue. Valued at $1500.
