Emerald is classified as a type-3 gemstone which means that inclusions in the stones are acceptable in the trade for collectors and dealers. With that said, it is very difficult to find a "clean" Emerald that is over a carat. Keep in mind that Emeralds cannot be held to the same clarity standard that most stones are held to. The greatest aspect of this stone is the fact that it comes from the northern area of Brazil in Bahia, which is known for producing some beautiful color Emeralds. This stone is a nice green color, "Oval" cut gem with some slight inclusions from this lesser known locality for the material. It's a good locality gem and the color is nice for the size.
