Emerald is classified as a type-3 gemstone which means that inclusions in the stones are acceptable in the trade for collectors and dealers. Often the stones from Bahia, Brazil can be very good sized, but the quality is not always world-class. This stone has a beautiful light emerald-green color, with good translucency. Please note that there is a small nick on one side of the girdle. Keep in mind that Emeralds cannot be held to the same clarity standard that most stones are held to. The stone is not a small gem by any means either. It has a traditional "Emerald" cut.
