Item Description
A very attractive and striking display specimen of azurite on malachite from the prolific Liufengshan mine. Both sides of the piece are covered with sharp, very sparkly, navy-blue azurite blades which have formed in "rosette"-shaped aggregates on the vuggy, undulating matrix of malachite. The azurites have fabulous and desirable, "electric blue" gemminess under strong light! The color contrast is just beautiful and truly resembles classic material from Bisbee, Arizona. The specimen displays well on either side, and really draws one's attention. A bit of contacting is noted, mostly on one side, but is certainly a modest detraction. For a specimen of this size, it is very showy and is an excellent example from the locality. These specimens are commanding high prices, even from the Chinese dealers. Valued at $500-600. MUCH, MUCH BETTER IN PERSON!!
