Two, lozenge-shaped, electric-blue azurite crystals are elegantly set on the highly desirable, contrasting matrix of spiky primary malachite crystals, dark manganese oxides and rhyolite on this superb and adorable miniature from recent finds at this now very famous locale. The large azurite 1.8 x 1.3 x 0.6 cm and all three crystals are pristine, front and back. The glorious electric-blue color is clearly evident under bright light. Outstanding. Valued at $700-900 and well worth it. This is probably the finest miniature Milpillas azurite and malachite we have offered at auction.
