Item Description

The famous Czar Mine at Bisbee produced from 1885 to the early 1900s and 'yielded more fine mineral specimens than any other in the camp' (Mineralogical Record Bisbee issue, September-October, 1981). Highly lustrous rosettes of navy-blue azurite blades with gorgeous "electric-blue" gemminess under bright light form this sculptural, outstanding old-timer from the Jaime Bird Collection. The interior is pristine and the modest periphery wear is certainly not a detraction. It displays well from either side. Valued at $750-900. MUCH, MUCH BETTER IN PERSON!! The sparkle and sheer pizzazz of the piece is hard to capture in photos, as are all such Bisbee specimens.
