Elbaite Tourmaline slice

Item Description

This is an unusual tri-color pink Elbaite Tourmaline slice from the core of a crystal, that displays three distinct internal zones with a nondescript exterior that initially hid the beauty inside. The prominent, rich, raspberry red core on the display side is roughly triangular in shape and surrounded by a 5 mm thick, magenta pink zone which is outlined by a 2.5 mm pink band and all of the zones display a slight translucency to them that adds subtle depth to the colors. The Tourmaline slice is nicely polished on both sides and has a gray, fine-grained Muscovite exterior or rind. This little beauty has a mass of 10.67 grams.
