Item Description

In the giant world of tourmalines, out of all the finds and places, some stand out amongst them and are remembered. Decades after it was found in the 1990s, this remains a classic form of tourmaline, immediately recognizable as Barra Do Salinas material because of the pattern of colors and the sceptered formation atop. This gorgeous gem crystal is totally transparent, and would look incredible standing up in a custom base. It is 8 grams. Classic old material from Brazil, now nearly impossible to find an example of. This is from the huge and antique suite of tourmalines in the Jack Halpern collection, a few of which were recently released for sale to pay medical bills (Jack is 103 and healthy and happy!). It was valued at $3500. Custom base included.
