Elbaite, Quartz & Lepidolite

Item Description

Gorgeous pink to pastel-pink, gem elbaite crystals are scattered on the scuptural large matrix of quartz crystals in a vug, massive quartz, feldspar and two intersecting veins of lavender lepidolite on this showy and excellent combination piece from a NEW FIND from this large pegmatite field. The spray, with crystals to 3.5 cm, on the right edge really adds drama to this piece. This is an excellent example from a locale, that has surprisingly produced a limited number of mineral specimens and species (these turned up at the Munich Show).
