Elbaite on Muscovite, Quartz & Albite (classic locale)

Item Description

A striking dense cluster of flattened, highly lustrous, translucent, beautiful seafoam-green, elbaite crystals is dramatically set on the front of the large layered matrix of pearlescent muscovite, quartz and platy, ivory albite. This showy and excellent combination piece is from the Greenwood area of the historic Oxford County pegmatite district. Probably old-time material, but no proof. From a museum collection, where it was formerly on display. The numbers match.
