Elbaite on DT Quartz (New Find)

Item Description

A delightful elbaite and quartz combination from a NEW FIND at this renowned locale. Sections of gemmy to translucent, bi-colored, green and purple tourmaline crystals are aesthetically embedded in both sides of the striking intergrown pair of doubly terminated quartz crystals. The sharply terminated tabular quartz crystals are water-clear with nifty stepped-growth faces. The faces on one side are preferentially lightly frosted. Scattered modest edge wear and contacting and a couple of edge dings are noted on the quartz crystals, but certainly have only minimal impact to the overall high displayability of this very showy piece. Two display views show a striking heart shape! Excellent combination material from this new find.
