Item Description
A sharp and VERY glassy gem crystal of tourmaline, this comes from the classic pegmatite fields of Afghanistan. While such crystals are seen in the thousands over time, this is a particularly good example because it is so glassy, and so sharply terminated, compared to most. It is exceptionally transparent, as well! A 20.2 gram jewel of a tourmaline, from the Jack Halpern collection and his famous "display row" of gem tourmalines. Valued $2000-2500.
