Item Description

Considering how rare this species is, any Effenbergerite is a good Effenbergerite, but this one could top the charts. Sitting in the Sugelite matrix, there are not one, but TWO, 4 mm crystals of Effenbergerite. The royal blue color is incredibly vivid, and the vitreous luster is excellent. The famous Wessels mine is the TYPE LOCALITY, and as far as I can see on MINDAT, the ONLY locality for this species. This would be a superb addition to any rarities suite.
