Item Description
Here we have a good-sized single crystal of Edenite, an amphibole species that is chemically similar to Pargasite, but has more silicon and less aluminum. Well-formed crystals are not terribly common, especially in this this size. This piece is the only example I can remember having to offer from Madagascar, and it's a fairly sharp and well-formed doubly-terminated prism showing a soft beige color. If you collect rarities or amphibole minerals, this is an impressive piece of this seldom-seen material.
Ex Colin Manlove collection.
