Edenharterite (unique to Type Locality)

Item Description

Edenharterite is an ultra-rare Pb-Tl-As sulfosalt, unique to this renowned locale. Two attached V-shaped streaks, to 1.5 cm, of dark metallic red edenharterite are brightly flanked by starkly contrasting orange and red orpiment and realgar in the layered sugary dolomite matrix. Pods of sparkly, brassy pyrite are a super accent. An extremely fine and rich example of this very rare species. From a major rarities collection.
