Item Description

Dumortierite is a rare borosilicate. The Dehesa pegmatite is the only locality in San Diego County, where it is found. Lustrous, pink-purple blades comprise this thin plate. The back has been sawed. Seldom on the market. A must for the species or locality collector. Ghostly white fluorescence. Ex Chris Korpi Collection, a well-known San Diego County specialist.
