Dumortierite included in Quartz (rare)

Here we have a good sized example of these elusive, rare and colorful specimens. I'm sure that some of you might have seen this material in the gem / lapidary trade, but to find a piece of actual CRYSTALLIZED Quartz with these Dumortierite inclusions is rare in my experience. This small cabinet specimen features a sharp, well-formed, euhedral, white / colorless translucent prismatic Quartz crystal with notably strong indigo colored inclusions of Dumortierite. Now unfortunately the piece is not 100% pristine, but the combination of the two species together is notably hard to find in nature, and the alluring color of the Dumortierite makes it all the more appealing, especially in a bigger crytal. If you collect Quartz or inclusion specimens, this is a great opportunity to pick up a piece of this rarely seen material from the Vaca Morta Quarry in Bahia. Specimen weight is 50.9 grams.
