Duftite on Calcite (fl)

A superb, huge Calcite plate from the Tsumeb Mine, considered the greatest mine in history. In CLASSIC Tsumeb style, the pastel-green Duftite coats a showy multitude of sharp, glassy, colorless Calcite rhombs. Literally, the entire plate is composed of these Calcite crystals, and the largest is 2.7 cm. The interpenetrating habit of many of the Calcites adds even more to the interest and aesthetics, which are outstanding. The Calcite also has a bright orange fluorescence. This a noteworthy Tsumeb specimen in every respect.
