The Machacamarca area has produced some of the finest vivianite specimens in BOlivia. This fabulous, very aesthetic specimen features a gorgeous, doubly terminated, blocky, layered crystal with two striking pieces of attached very fine sandstone matrix. This piece came out around 2005. The luster is supremely splendent and the partially translucent interior colors range from rich emerald-green to vivid blue-green, depending on the angle of the light source. Highly lustrous vivianite is RARE in the world, and arguably the most lustrous crystals of the species from Bolivia re those from Tomokoni. An outstanding ivianite and difficult to obtain in this exceptional quality.
