DT twinned Calcite xls (rare & rare locale)

Item Description

Mineral specimens of any species are very rare from this obscure gold mine and calcite specimens are EXTREMELY RARE (MINDAT does not list calcite for the locality). A dramatic, 6.7 cm, lustrous, translucent, doubly terminated and twinned, amber calcite is the focal point of this impressive and very rich large, calcite crystal-covered plate. The calcites have beautiful striated faces and entrancing light golden iridescence. The cleaved end and a bit of edge wear to the large crystal are noted, but certainly have minimal impact to the overall high quality, richness and rarity of this aesthetic and rare large piece. The rest of the piece is essentially pristine. Value??
