DT& twinned Calcite xls on Sphalerite (Ludlum Coll.)

Item Description

A very aesthetic calcite crystal on rubyjack sphalerite combination plate from the famous Elmwood Mine. Four striking and beautiful glassy, gem, light straw-yellow sharply terminated calcites are dramatically set on the sphalerite. All of the calcites are doubly terminated and are pristine. The largest crystals are classic twins, while the two smaller crystals are the much rarer nested twins. This is an oustanding older combination specimen from the Sandy and Maureen Ludlum Collection. Fairly valued in $1250-1500. Rare in this calcite style and combination.
