Item Description

A classic and aesthetic calcite specimen from the famous and now-closed Elmwood Mine. A 5.3 cm, gemmy and lustrous, doubly terminated and twinned calcite crystal with desirable golden-amber accents is elegantly perched on a slender wedge of dolomite matrix. The smaller calcites below the twin really add character. The twin has very trivial edgewear to the primary, right, termination and trivial out-of-sight bruising to the top of the crystal. The left termination is gently cleaved, but is a modest detraction. The twin is complete all-around and has modest contacting on the backside. Highly representative older material from the Consie Prince Collection.
