Item Description

Meshberger calcites are an Indiana classic and this excellent and aesthetic specimen is nicely accented by a bit of limestone matrix. The glassy and lustrous, 7.3 cm calcite is doubly terminated and twinned. Most of the crystal is amber and translucent, but the termination is water-clear, colorless gem. The striking termination is capped by a gem, facet-like, complex rhombohedron jewel. The calcite is complete all-around and nearly pristine, with only very trivial edgewear and a contact on the back, with no damage, per se. Very fine quality and comes with an older Schooler's label.
