Item Description
A classic and colorful, and unusually formed bi-colored, doubly terminated tourmaline from the famous Himalaya Mine. Most of the gemmy, lustrous, well-striated, beauty is classic, "Himalaya pink". The glassy pinacoidal termination is pretty apple-green. The steep pyramdial termination is cranberry-red. The unusual interrupted growth on the side is encrusted with tiny tourmalines and a few cleavelandite blades. The nifty cluster of gemmy lavender lepidolite crystals is a super accent. Complete all-around and nearly pristine, with only a bit of sidewear and pinacoidal termination edgewear noted. An unusually shaped and very colorful tourmaline from this noted locale. 48 grams. Ex Hubert de Monmonier & University of Arizona Museum Collections (definitely an older piece). Valued at $700-800.
