Item Description
A beautifully elegant combination specimen from the most famous tourmaline locality in Pakistan. The lustrous, partially gemmy, bi-colored tourmaline is dramatically and aesthetically accented by the 3.5 cm, doubly terminated quartz crystal and cloaked in pearlescent, bladed cleavelandite crystals and a single muscovite book. Most of the well-striated tourmaline is very dark green to black. The frosted, gemmy, upper termination is light pastel-pink to achroite with a pretty bottle-green zone underneath. The basal termination has a bit of green gemminess. This is a excellent display piece and a wonderful pegmatite specimen from a classic locality. These pieces are becomingly increasingly difficult to find in today's market, especially in this quality. This striking small cabinet combo dates to the 1980s finds. Unbelievably, complete all-around and essentially pristine, with only trivial bruising to the cleavelandite blades! Ex Herb Obodda dealer stock, who brought most of these to market. Choice! Valued $1000-1250 for aesthetics and DT quartz association, which is uncommon.
